My initial assumption was, that for body parts, the child part inherits the (x,y,z) coordinates from the parent for the vertexes that they share. however, unfortunately, this seems to be true only in 99,97% of the cases. A few figures have 1 or 2 single vertices for those this rule doesnt apply. Doh :/
