I'll give you an internet dollar if you make a vid that goes past 3 seconds and into 10 to 20 second territory. (My crit with any animation - even test ones - is that if they're shorter than 10 seconds and non-looping, it's likely not worth the bother. Just do a still image. That saves on rendering time too.) :tt2:
Scenery-wise it looks good for what you have. No complaints there.
Oh and for "warmth" in scenes, it's mostly a matter of light color. Setting the scene's ambient color or the main light source's color to something warmer than full white can do that. For "mid-day" barely tinting it should help.
And afaik, atmospherics kills rendering time no matter what app you use. I used to Bryce way back, and that could be glacial. It's also possible in Carrara by toggling the sky under the scene settings and playing around. Some of those effects in combination with lighting and cloud objects goes way longer than I have patience for. (I don't use them when animating because of that.) Whether or not they can be made "Vue-like" is another question though. (I feel it's possible, but with many tweaks since the settings in the programs to achieve the same result will be different.)
