Ryus, Seriously. When you post a thread, here of all places, the only way you're going to stop people from commenting is to lock the thread. Which leads back to, why don't you just make Staff Picks an announcement at the top of the forums like all the other announcements. Then people can go read and not leave the comments that seem to be annoying the heck out of you. My point is simple. If you don't want discussion about the topic, don't make a discussion thread.
