I bought v 9 several years ago for only $10 and spent about three years searching for free tutorials without much luck.  The few I did try created models that didn't import into Blender or Studio very well either.  I did register my copy and have been getting E-mails to update or buy training DVDs.  I just stopped using it for 3D and used instead as a form of electronic graph paper.   What I am say is that if you got it cheap enough and really want to learn to use it your probably going to have to spend some more money.
