Hmm VERY interesting all this. Did anyone try the queue manager under Wine? One of the suggestions I made to Smith Micro when they collected ideas for PoserPro and later for Pro2010 was to include a command line version of the queue manager that would run with a unix core in a runtime system. No waste of CPU capacity or memory space on GUI's, virus controls or whatever. Just boot a remote PC networked from CD and then burn it's circuits on rendering, rendering and nothing else.

Didn't hear anything back from them, but this sounds quite close.
