I upgraded from Poser 6 to Poser 7 and stayed with Poser 7 because it was so rock-stable and reliable, and had features that really made Poser 6 yesterday's news. People say there wasn't that much difference, but there really was. Multiple CTRL Z (undo), faster load times for stuff... lots of reasons to stay with Poser 7.
I got Poser 8, but quite frankly was a bit underwhelmed... it did render a bit faster, but the "feature" list wasn't really compelling enough. But I'd heard more and more about Poser Pro 2010 having this that and the other, and when the opportunity arose for a very reasonably-priced sidegrade, I jumped.
It has now officially replaced Poser 7 as the must-have version of Poser. It's been a somewhat costly road to get here, but I still think it was worth getting Poser 8 just to have this programme now and appreciate its stability and incredible features.
