Much as I find your sci-fi fantasy items interesting, these I find incredibly beautiful and practical... I can't think of a scene where these wouldn't figure Prominently.
Love to trial/test these for you - or buy them, if the trial/test period is over. 
ETA: I already have a shader for them, depending on how many material zones they have, Parmatic-ready.
