If everyone will read my posts, I was not trying to start a fight between Perfect Skin and VSS. I was using those two systems as an example of simplicity, purpose, and power.

The purpose of Perfect Skin was not to make Nylon or eggs or whatever... it is to make SKIN look more natural. That's all I WANTED it to do.

My point is, VSS does far, far more than I wanted/needed... because, as you very rightly say, I will NEVER be able to make those shaders on my own. Therefore, since the interface to PS is easy and the one to VSS is more complex, PS serves my needs better.

That's what I was wishing for with GC. I would gladly sacrifice some of the power if it could be made simple.
