Blinn can do it too. You have to set it right. The eccentricity should be very low.
Also, you need to have an accurate amount of bump. Lip crevices are much larger than skin crevices, but almost all the texture sets I've seen do not have the correct amount of bump in the lip area. They usually have roughly the same amount everywhere.
Sometimes increasing the bump strength on the lip zone works. Depends on whether the bump map is smooth at the lip edges or not.
Me - I use a lip mask and modulate both the bump and the shine with it.
Don't expect realism if the color map has burned in specular. It will look like a disease instead.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
