Last weekend the hub and I put some stuff we didn't want out at the curb knowing someone would pick it up. A guy came to the door in very short order and asked if we wanted the stuff...lol. I said nope, that was why it was out on the curb. I told him to take it and have fun! We could have thrown it away, but then it was all things which were still perfectly usable and so we figured we'd rather it take up space at someone else's place rather than in the dump. We weren't actually expecting anyone to come to the door, but we sure were hoping someone would take it ;o).
I guess my point is that while the guy actually came to the door to make sure the stuff was free to take (which was nice), what we really wanted was for it to be gone and for someone else to get some use out of it. I feel the same way about my freebies. If I make something, I'm only going to use it myself but so many times - if even more than once. Why not share it and let someone else get some use out of it? :o). Even if no thank yous are given, it's a nice feeling to see someone's used it in one of their renders. That's a nice feeling all in itself.
