Yes, it does do a search as hborre said. Canceling that search will not cancel the install, but instead allow you to browse to your Poser folder so that you can then install it there. Perhaps your installer is timing out because it simply cannot find where to install the morphs. If you cancel that search, you might be able to get farther along. If the installer doesn't even get to that point, then you have something else going on on your computer or with the installer itself, which may be corrupted.
