Although I think you are looking into more traditionally thought 3D animation (characters, machines, etc.) it's good to look through ALL the galleries to figure out things you like - you never know. It's a matter of deciding WHERE you wanna get your feet wet, get it?

But the Gnomon School is where I would go looking for training for animation. Then maybe digital-tutors.com as well - they have a subscription service
