Poser tends to mangle "superconforming" parameters when you re-save a figure.

• Make a copy of the original
• Copy the new morph from your modified CR2 into the copy of the original (some CR2 editors can do this, or Morph Manager)

Then at least the old morphs will still be superconforming, and you can then try to get your new morph to behave the same way (not all that easy to do by hand, a lot of editing).
