When you load a super-conformer the figure number from the character that is selected is placed in the slaving code of the conformer. If that figure number is "1" then it may still work, sometimes, as most of the time the figure number in the character you are conforming to will be "1", so the slaving code will pointing to the correct figure. However there are a number of circumstances where the figure number of the character you are conforming to might not be "1", for example when you are conforming to the second figure loaded into the scene. There are also circumstances where the figure number saved in the slaving code of the conformer may not be "1". I chose my words carefully, saying "it will no longer function correctly as a super-conformer", I did not say that it will never function, it may do in many circumstances, it will not function in some other circumstances. It depends on a lot of factors, and I won't claim to know them all. But if you want it to conform to any instance of the character, reliably all the time, then you need to remove the figure number.
