You set the focus to see the details. If you set the focus to read something near your eyes you still continue to see all, but with less detail outside the focus. The image out of focus is not blurred as in photos, it is foggy.
My eyes are a mess, I am myopic and anti-myopic (which is the name????) at the same time.
I read at a distance that a normal vision person reads, something a little far away is in fog (myopic) and I cannot read small letters or something near (anti-myopic). My right eye is unable to see details, I read with only one eye. The only thing that don't have is astigmatism!
Stupidity also evolves!
