Quote - > Quote - The problem I am having is that when I have the library window up, and say I apply a pose, the library window will minimize to the tool bar and the pose will not take until I maximize the library window again then then pose will work. Same goes for conforming clothing, hair and any props that are parented to the figure. I also have cameras that will not rotate the screen when I use the dials for that camera. As a matter of fact outside of somethings that do work better I am having more problems then I did before I installed the update. No other apps I use gives me such fits only PP2010. So I don't know what to say all the necessary drivers for my graphics card are updated.
Windows 7 64-bit
GT240 1 gig video card
8 gigs ram on a quad core CPU.Unlike Vue which has the ability to roll back an update without un-installing the program PP 2010 will now have to be un-installed and re-installed to get rid of this SR-1.
I have not seen this, but I do not doubt you are experiencing it. I am not sure if I responded to you before, but contact Support again with this issue.
The hardest thing about dealing with issues that we only have one report is finding the cause. If it can not be duplicated, it is nearly impossible to find the cause. This is why it is important for anyone with an issue to report it. Sometimes it is a series of specific steps that you may not think twice about, that leads to the issue. That is why it is also important to be very specific about the steps.
Several of the weird ones have been found after a few additional reports. One I remember was a conflict with the default settings of one of the Free AV programs. The creators of that program told the user that they needed to buy the purchased version to be able to make changes to those settings. This helped several other users that reported the same issue. Some chose to change AV Programs, some chose to upgrade to the Paid Version, but all were resolved because of the feedback.
I have already been all through this before with SM and tech support. And unless you are sitting right here with me when this all goes down there isn't much I can describe except to have a video camera running the whole time I am working with PP2010. When I first brought this to the attention of SM's tech support I was using Vista 64-bit and a different video card. SM felt it was a hardware issue and wanted me to pull my card out and run PP2012 on just vista's video drivers alone. Then put my card back in and start from square one.....no improvement.
So now this machine has had Vista removed and in its place a fresh install of windows 7 64-bit
and a brand new video card. The same problems I had with Poser Pro 2010 using Vista and the so called hardware issue are still here. It is definitely an Open GL issue and it has to do with this floating library crap in windows 7 64-bit. All the trouble goes away when PP2010 is in Scree this is why I say it's an OpenGL issue. I find it confusing that my other apps that are OpenGL dependent i.e. Vue Infinite, have zero issues the older version of Poser Pro and Poser 7 have zero issues but when I run Poser 8 or Poser Pro 2010 I get all these strange, crazy conforming issues, crazy camera problems like half the screen will rotate with the camera and half will not and a bunch of other things I have already reported to SM already. We spend 3 weeks going back and forth on these issues and as I said unless someone from SM want to sit in my studio as we work with PP2010 to see this first hand there is not much I can say I haven't already. So I am at a loss...lol.
