Yeah it sounds like you also have a problem getting the updater to run, at least it was courteous to actually give you a fail message. The usual problem is that somewhere, you have more than one !DAZ folder that the updater is finding and trying to process, and it hit the wrong one. I don't think there is a way to force it to hit a specific !DAZ folder, and imo the only way to keep this from happening is to only have one !DAZ folder ANYWHERE on all hard drives, because the installer seems to go find them wherever they may hide.
