luxrender can not be that slow. i understand that everything is physical correct and i understand that its realistic. but 10 hours in 2010 can not be right.
there have to be some optimized settings.
Depends on the render settings but 10hrs is quite short for a Lux render. It's very processor intensive. Once they get the GPU accelerated version running it'll probably help speed it up but so far no physically accurate, unbiased render engine is spectacularly fast - even Maxwell
I once tried a Lux render of a VRay scene (which is in my gallery) and just left it running. 3days later it was still showing grain but I probably hadn't optimised the render settings as much as they could have been.
