Ok, finally set up the lights and rendered.  Following pics in order are... a screengrab of before the render (above), then one after rendering the face area (below).  Plus, just to be sure I did this right, I also attached a screengrab of the two lights' parameter and properties settings, then one of the positioning (which was behind the figure when I first loaded the lights) and I moved it to front/center pretty much.

Render looks a bit better, but still a bit "grey" to me. Maybe I didn't have all the settings correct?  I saved the scene in case I have to do it over. Just that area render of the face took twenty minutes! :-(

(One thing I forgot to ask yesterday was what you meant by "no image attached" on the IBL light. )
