All my installs are in the "program folders" that everyone seems to say not to..
It all comes down to the UAC in Windows 7... If you're confident enough around computers to switch it off then the "program folders" issue isn't an issue!!
If the UAC is left on then you will have problems putting them there...apparently..
I wouldn't know, the UAC has been off for me even when I had Vista, which was a bag of spanners compared to windows 7..
