Excellent! My patched code is now on github. Any value for 'compute_normals' that's false according to Python's rules turns the normal off, plus the strings '0', 'false' and 'False'.

Udated, new version 1-14a

GUI contains now switches to turn on/off normal re-computing for (all) figures and/or (all) props.

Because the GUI has no connection to Poser, setting this individually per figure/actor/prop isn't possible yet.

Right. But now I have the application server running, and shortly we will be able to do that interactively. Or - we could put the per-light, per-actor, per-material stuff in the data files. Either way will work.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
