It could be a couple of reasons:

First , make sure you have the Poser import set up right inside Vue..[File, Options, Configure Poser Import]

If that is ok then run the uncompress script inside Poser and make sure everything is uncompressed, Vue doesn't like compressed poser files.
Those should sort out any problems as long as your texture paths are ok..
