I must have at least 4 backups on various disks of each thing I've ever bought. I prefer not to depend on someone else to do it for me ;o).
I'm not saying not to backup (I've got multiple Poser content backups myself), just that sometimes things happen that also result in the loss of the backups. It is in those instances that the regular Poser marketplace trend to allow you to re-download purchased content, even if it is something from 7 years ago, is better than being told "Should have gone with the extended download warranty, tough shit on your loss."
If your house is on fire, are you going to grab your Poser content backups? Are you even going to try to save the computer? With CP's policy, you're SoL for getting anything you've purchased from them in the past (after their warranty expires), unless you're willing to become a pirate.
