The full standalone Puppet Master script does a better job than the builtin Poser version.  I have successfully converted poses from V3/V4 to Miki2 with very little distortion and tweaking.  Again, rather extreme poses may be problematic and the application feature will get you as close as you can possibly accomplish on a first try.
