Honestly, I feel a bit reluctant at doing anything that could be interpreted as 'reverse engineering' of Reality. I'd rather face the embarrassment of asking in the Lux forums. Then if I get told how to get smooth glass with LuxBlend, I have no problem trying that and peeking into the lxo file to see what the data looks like.
