About the "complicated things".
Because of how Poser meshes are constructed and uv-mapped, you had to split the meshes according to the uv-maps and had to re-compute the normals to make them as smooth as possible again. You did it perfectly at the end.
C4D doesn't care about such things.
This is what I meant with "complicated things".
