Ah yes, every Poser user who's been at it for a while knows what you're going through. If you click on the "Search Tutorials" button here on the Rendo website, and type "runtimes organize" you'll get several (so-so) examples of how to tame your runtime.
For me, I created several different folders in a directory I called "My Poser Content", one for Vicky 4, one for Mike 4, one for Vicky 3, Aiko3, etc, then folders for things like Creatures, Props & Items, Sets, Environments... you get the idea.
Then, I found all my original .zip files, and started moving in, one item at a time, being careful to load the items into the correct file folder.
The tutorials you'll find will explain this and give pictures and examples. There's no right or wrong way to do it, just come up with an organizational naming system that's right for you. Oh and remember, in each one of your organizational folders, you need a folder named "runtime" for stuff to install into.
