Oooooh. That is a very good explanation. But it sounds bizarre. Pretty much unexpected :-). I recently thought maybe it would be nice to have kind of an "EasyERC" python which just reads the current pose and computes values for the JCM's based on this data (enabling easier limit management, interpolation, etc).  The valueOp mechanism does not seem to be very flexible.
