Does bring up an interesting point... I'd be more than happy if web designers would just stick to plain old html, so that as I browse, I get INFORMATION, not demonstrations of their prowess at this or that. Fine. Do the animations... then put them in as LINKS for heaven's sake.

My favorite pet peeve: Webpages that are posted as pdfs. And we ALL know what pdf stands for!
