(I think - not speaking from strong expertise here - caveat emptor) Anyway, if the stupid Frets program felt it necessary to "upgrade" one of those, it may have looked around and poked its version into your Poser program folder, thinking that it was a standard Python installation. You might try just re-installing Poser itself. This should not destroy anything you've added - just will put everything back the way it is supposed to be.
This is why UAC does not let one program poke files into another program's folders anymore. Which is great except when the one program is a Daz installer and the other program is Poser.

ok I did try to reinstall over the install present..but doesnt seem to work. I have just hit "launch to factory state" and am about to reopen it and set it up again and test it.
