Yes, you can run both on your mac, and probably the easiest way for a beginner is to boot into the PC mode or the mac mode without using any additional emulation software.

I think you should be able to operate on your mac drives from your PC but if not, then a software like something called DAVE allows PCs to talk to macs.

 

I would install poser on your mac partion.
