The real question is why are they not statically able to accept morph packages? What is it about the installation that requires the final step?

For example, I installed V4 long ago in a V4 runtime. I have copied that runtime from one computer to another as I've retired each and replaced with a newer model.

When setting up my new machines I have not preserved the absolute paths. I have changed my mind about where I keep my runtimes repeatedly.

Since I was perfectly able to zip up the whole V4 kit and "install" it on a new computer, in a completely differently named folder, without running the Daz initialization script, I fail to see what needs to be initialized after unpacking the files from the installer.

I understand that the installer is not finishing the job and you are instructed to run the batch script. What I don't understand is why it is done this way.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
