Have you installed all the service releases as well? I run poser8 and poserpro2010 on vista64b for more than a year and I had only a few problems, I had poser 7 running as well, but I know there some problems but they were fixed with the service releases. AFAIK poser6 doesn't work with visa, but poser7 does.
