Subject: How do you folks protect yourself while surfing on line?

One option for Windows users might be to do bowsing under Linux in a virtual machine, such as VirtualBox (free at  virtualbox.org) that has restricted access to the host machine's file system.  Amother option is Sandboxie, which allows one to run a webbrowser in it's own 'sandbox', where any registry or filesystem changes are isolated from the rest of the system.
