Continuing with both color choices, I will have a different final outcome. That is why the reference color used is an important parameter.

In this network, the reference color you subtract and add is the ONLY color in the source image that remains the same in the final image. It is not altered. That's because the delta color is 0, and 0 cannot be altered by multiplication.

Other colors are altered, and the degree of alteration depends on how far away those color are from the reference color.


Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
