Bagginsbill yes, that is nonsense.  Only in the very specific and impractical set of circumstances you tested with is that statement true, otherwise it is horrible, horrible advice.

I backed up what I claimed with evidence, and if you can understand it I could also explain the math - how the discrete cosine transform works and how information density is reduced using the JPEG techniques.

Nobody has contradicted anything I've said or in fact shown. You're contradicting things I didn't say - things that are indeed nonsense.

I find this sort of baseless argumentative attitude offensive. Do you have a math point to make? Then make it. Because I already demonstrated my point with a picture. All that's left is the math.
