Actually you didn't address quality at all, but rather made a blanket statement, which is only correct in the circumstances you tested with (as I said).

The "at high quality" was absent from your blanket statement. You're also confusing "open and re-save with no changes" with "modify and save". I'm not going to play this game with you of dissecting each and every word of what you said and previous posters said. You can repeat the same blanket statement, and it will be the same blanket statement, only true in the specific impractical circumstances you demonstrated.
