Based on their website, Indie is $495, the Vue version is $299 and currently $199 on sale. The difference is indeed that the Vue version does only export models as VOB where as INDIE has addional export options and a higher price.

I played with the demo for a couple of days and then  immediately bought the Vue version. Marvelous peice of softare. Tons of fun to play with. I find it quite easy to use.
