For me, it's really resource intense (I may be wrong on this).  It looks impressive for a start, I just need to get my head around doing some things with it, and learning the ropes of nodes/procedural -- wow!

In order to do for example a map-like mesh from SketchUp, I used the plug-in to make it .dxf (cad) and import it into CityEngine -- still like the others it takes some learning curve to do it, and I think a pretty robust computer to do the trick.
