I know this sounds like heresy, but I actually bought the ShaderWorks Library thingie, just to see. It does have some nice features, like loading and conforming all at one go, but after a while I just sort-of went back to doing it the "old" way, which is quick enough for most things. I never have any dramas with speed or anything like that.
What I DO have problems with is "Out Of Memory" errors at the end of a render (which completes, btw...). It's weird because I never used to get these errors when I had one gig of RAM... but I did have a dedicated graphics card, which the techie guys didn't seem to think was important, so I reckon the on-board graphics is taking a healthy bite out of the available system RAM. :blink:
