I've always loved the P8/PP2010 library but I have to say that I find the Advanced Library Manager much better for several reasons.
It's faster for me. Maybe it's because I only have 2GB's of RAM but when I load a pose or a pose MAT onto a resource heavy figure it takes forever with the old library. ALM does it in a second. This is a HUGE plus for me.
I love being able to mix different libraries from different runtimes. I have my runtimes pretty well organized and it's great to able to have, for example, only the pose libraries for M4 and V4 visible when I'm working with those figures.
Load and conform. Even multiple figures! I can select a whole set of clothes and conform them to a figure with one mouse click. It can even apply any deformers that are on the figure to the clothes as well. Huge timesaver.
There are other trinkets that I won't go into but for me the old library is obsolete.
