Just a quick check: The Radiosity room scene in Vue 9 comes with "re-use indirect lighting" checked. Did you uncheck that for your 28 sec render or was it checked? That can make a significant difference.

I should be able to post my results tomorrow. Your processor has two more cores than mine and is quite a bit faster (Passmark score of 10443 vs. 5833). That should give you a pretty significant speed advatage in Vue (of course there are other factors, too, like RAM speed and so on...).

I left it checked.  As a matter of fact, I ran it again just to make sure, and this time the render time was 22 seconds.
