The bulk of the difference probably comes from the two extra cores. But the faster clock and potentially RAM and motherboard can also play a role. I am curious how ddaydreams numbers will fit in. The numbers we found are pretty much in line with the Passmark scores which is useful to know because they have a lot of cpu data on their website that can be useful when picking parts for a new system.

I am actually very happy with my current system (Good thing. It's only two month's old...). Much faster than my old duo core and very stable. I have not run into any limits with Vue. I also have four older computers in my mini-rendergarten that help with long renders. Plus I am the patient kind...
