try turning on the following in your Poser 4 compatibilty mode -

Disable Visual Themes.

Disable Desktop Composition.

Disable Display Scaling on High DPI Settings.

 

I have the feeling that one or more may be the fix you want. I can't test I don't have P4, but I have used those to get older software running on Windows7 64.
