Now I'm remembering I seen that thread before, didn't know it had anything to do with dynamic clothes, I'll have to go look in sometime later.
I'm a bit confused about marvelous's plan to give "animation" support in DS... ? Like we need yet another animation tool lol, we have two already hehe. But really, what's "animation" have to do with creating dynamic clothes? I guess I'm saying I don't understand the term right.
Guess not. :) Dynamics are animation. That's why if you look at Poser's top horizontal menu, the Animation menu includes recalculation of dynamics for cloth and hair. In order for dynamic hair and cloth to work, they require a draping timeline. I don't know how Optitex does things, but Poser drapes over the course of frames: you start your unmorphed figure at zero position at frame 1, and end your animation timeline with your final pose and morph.
Truth is, dynamics are almost the only animation I've ever done.
