When you said spinning ball, I figured it might be Avast :-) You should be able to go into Real-Time Shields -> Flie System Shield -> Expert Settings and under Exclusions, add your Poser folder. Looks like *.exe might do the trick where is the path to your Poser exe.

I'm not sure if the Web Shield is looking at internal traffic, and if it is, if you can add an exclusion for the loopback address using e.g. http://localhost or http://127.0.0.1:11530.
