I'll preface my opinion by stating that I am a Mac user, so I may be coming from a very different place, given e-on's rather sketchy support for their Mac versions over the years. I still use version 6 for content creation and it's always been stable enough, though 7 and 8 were totally useless on the Mac as in why bother even trying to run them.
That said, Vue 9 Infinite is a HUGE step forward in stability and seems to have just a few minor issues as opposed to being one giant crash waiting to happen from the moment you open it. The minor issues are not deal breakers by any stretch, though I do hope they will address them - simple stuff like having to double (sometimes triple) click folders within the content browser, slightly slower load times of external objects, etc., etc.
Poser is working great with 9, though the aforementioned slower load times come in here for sure. My workaround for this is also a workaround for SkinVue 9, or more specifically for wxPython which doesn't work on the Mac within a 64-bit environment - I import Poser figures into Vue 6, tweak the mats, run SkinVue and save out a VOB for import into 9 which for some reason is faster than the native Poser import.
All told, it's a massive leap from where it was and I am again a happy e-on customer… I just hope they continue along this course and keep the forward motion as the previous couple versions were complete garbage.
