Electro? Some very good points there. It took me a while to see that your pic as you say is an earlier version of the left side - I have that pic too. As for the arches being too deep, I agree, but I think it is possible to break some laws of physics and see what happens - you all know I've done that before...LOL. I wonder if MC Escher was inspired by Holbein. However, this stuff does demand a lot of study. Everytime you look at Holbien's work you see some detail you missed at earlier viewings. I do have something in mind for ALL those blank areas.

When I first came across the Zum Tanz it had an article attached that talked about this being painted on the outside of a building in Basle, but I've lost the link and never copied the article.
