I built my new machine, so it's a mixture. For reference, though, it has 16GB of 1600 speed RAM, solid state C drive (for system/programs) on my SATA 3 port, ATI Radeon 5800 series graphics card (can't remember if it's a 5870 or 5890), Intel i7 CPU 860 @ 2.80GHz, and 27 in. monitor driven at 2560 x 1440.  And as I said before, Win 7 / 64 bit OS Home Premium.

So, when you say the need to be optimized (with your follow-on explanation), I'm guessing it's not some sort of process one can run the textures through in the newer version... Maybe that's why I ran into threads with "how to get a Poser 4 perfect render out of 2010" theme...

I would try, I suppose, loading Poser 4 on my current OS and see what happens BUT I only see one thread talking of success getting it running (but with some display glitches) and that person gave up and bought 2010. I haven't loaded it because I hate the thought of "muddying up my system" with a program install that's ultimately not going to work and then I have all that extraneous stuff cluttering up my register and program files.
