I use External Binary Morphs. I did have a couple problems in Poser 7. However, I have not had a problem in Poser 8 and Poser Pro 2010. Originaly, Victoria 4 was not compatible external binary morphs in Poser 7. But, she works great in Poser 8 and Poser Pro 2010.

I found that saving files take longer when External Binary Morphs are turned off. I had one scene that took nearly five minutes to save with it off. But, it took less than twenty seconds with it on.

Poser files with external binary morphs will get massively large very fast. The scene I mentioned earlier had Victoria 4 with a lot of morphs and 5 conforming items(clothes and hair) with a lot of morphs. The file size without external binary morphs was over 800 megs! With it on, the size was only150 megs.

Like was mentioned above, it will need to be off to transfer the file to an external application. Hard drives are low cost option. However, if you like me and use Poser on a laptop, changing hard drives is not a viable option.

Thank you for letting me ramble on.
